Belle Mare Plage Resort is a new, deluxe hotel fuses traditional Mauritian stone & thatch architecture with French style, discreet touches of Indian colour and a definite Zen feel - in short, it's quintessentially Modern Mauritian. Unique features abound - in descending order there are seven bars; six restaurants; five types of stylish rooms and suites; four swimming pools, three health and beauty spas, two 18-hole championship golf courses (use of both of which are free to guests) and one really ˜connected' children's club with Playstations, computers et al. The hotel offers 20 two- and three-bedroom self contained walled villas with private swimming pool, garden and gazebo. The open plan lounge and dining room opens out onto the pool and garden area and has CD/DVD; Plasma screen TV; full wet bar; private fax, butler's pantry and, of course, the butler. The three bedroom villas have a separate dining area with a dining table for 6 opening onto the pool area. The main bedroom downstairs opens onto the pool area and has a king size double bed, large bathroom with double vanity, bath, separate rain shower and separate WC and bidet. Sliding wooden doors lead out to an internal walled open air garden with marble outdoor bath, rain shower and day bed. Upstairs bedrooms each have their own bathroom and twin beds.
