Le Preskil Beach Resort occupies an entire peninsula jutting out into the Grand Port lagoon at Mahabourg, only 15 minutes' drive from the airport. From the hotel there are superb views northwards of the Lion Mountain, Ile aux Aigrettes (Bird Island, a World Heritage Site) and the broad turquoise sweep of this vast lagoon, the biggest in Mauritius.
