The Sands Hotel is a real gem amongst the new luxury hotels in Mauritius. The hotel has Mauritian-themed bedroom blocks with fitted volcanic stone and thatch highlights and a nautically themed bar and restaurant complex. The Sands is a most attractive, small hotel with a casual, laid back atmosphere. The 250m long beach is stunning and is protected from the bay by imposing granite rocks rather than the usual coral reef. All rooms have a balcony or terrace with sea view.
The 93 sea facing deluxe rooms and suite of which there are five sets of interconnecting rooms, are equipped with individual air-conditioning units, direct dial telephone with voice mail system, electronic safe, minibar, TV with local channels and tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom with separate shower cabin equipped with hair dryer and a walk-in dressing. Room service serving beverages, light meals and snacks is available throughout the day.
